The Dallas Cowboys stopped a two-game losing streak on Monday night by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 in Philadelphia. The victory prevented Dallas from falling to 2-4 and kept them competitive in the NFC East, where the New York Giants sit at 4-2-1. By securing this win, the Cowboys avoided checking their standings against division rivals and maintained their position in the race.

Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes in the game. He connected with CeeDee Lamb twice and George Pickens once. This marked his sixth career game with at least three passing touchdowns against the Eagles. The passing attack was supported by a rushing performance that matched historical benchmarks. The Cowboys recorded over 200 yards rushing and over 200 yards passing against the Eagles, a feat they have not accomplished since 1983.

Javonte Williams carried the ball 25 times for a career-high 155 yards. He scored the final touchdown of the game from the two-yard line with 2:21 remaining. This performance capped a night where the offense moved the ball effectively against an Eagles unit that has been dealing with injuries on the offensive side.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer received attention during the week leading up to the game. He told 105.3 The Fan that he is an elite playcaller despite his 9-13-1 record. He also stated in a press conference that he knows how great of a coach he is. Following the win, Schottenheimer was reserved in his postgame comments. He attributed the result to the players playing well rather than desperation. He said the win puts the team back into the hunt in the NFC East.

Prescott acknowledged the pressure on his coach. He described seeing a hungry and pissed-off version of Schottenheimer during the week. Prescott said the team has the coach's back and that the focus is on executing on Sundays. He noted that Schottenheimer takes pride in his job and the team, and that everyone handles criticism differently.

The defense contributed to the win by picking off Tanner McKee once and sacking him twice. DeMarvion Overshown recorded the interception. Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku recorded the sacks. The Eagles scored a touchdown on the opening possession of the first half and another on the opening possession of the second half. Despite these early scores, the Cowboys defense limited the damage to allow 21 points total.

The Cowboys have not won back-to-back games since a three-game winning streak in Weeks 11 through 13 last year. Their last victory before this game was on October 4 against the Houston Texans. The team now faces the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium next. ESPN Analytics places the Cowboys' chance of winning the division at 57% following this result.

Prescott emphasized that the team must earn their standing every week. He stated that nobody will say the Cowboys are the better team without them proving it on the field. The win serves as a reset point for a team that had been struggling with offensive production in the weeks prior.
